Portersville PRD Expands Core Capabilities
NEW CASTLE, PA – Portersville PRD, certified valve service and repair facility and leading provider of highly engineered, lifesaving valves and related products and solutions for the power, oil and gas industries, is proud to announce the expansion of its core capabilities.
- A new sales and service facility has been opened in Blountville, TN. Complete with control valve and pressure vacuum test stands with pressures up to 10,000 PSI, the facility is certified by the National Board to set and test Farris flanged and threaded valves, while also holding a VR Stamp authorizing complete and total relief valve repair for all brands.
- A steam boiler addition to the South Point, OH location allowing for Section I and Section VIII National Board VR valve repair and overhaul up to pressures of 2,500 PSI.
With our new presence in the Tennessee Valley, Portersville PRD is positioned to do both “VR” repair as well as assemble new Farris Safety Relief valves for the Eastern TN, Virginia, and Northern GA area. Our Blountville facility also supports Conservation and Control Valve testing, and is supported by a sales staff with over 30 years of experience in industrial valve arena. Our building boosts 9000’ square feet on a 3 acre lot that is perfectly suited for our envisioned expansion.
Portersville PRD has installed a boiler at our South Point OH location that will assist in servicing the power and steam side of our business. This addition was the last piece in our buildout plan that will allow us to test valves for a variety of our larger Appalachian based clients, and will also assist in supporting the 190 mile away site in Blountville TN.
